Stainless steel bars

    Just after some feed back on stainless steel bars.

    I have been quoted a good price on a set of custom made mirror finish stainless steel apes and was just wondering if anyone here has any feed back good or bad. I have been told stainless bars are actually stronger than normal mild steel chromed bars but i have no idea if this is true or just a sales pitch.

    Any feedback would be welcome as i am going to see these guys on monday.

    The new Wide Glide arrived Tuesday and will post some pics and report on the new beast soon as i get a chance to ride it.

    If you are comparing bars of the same size and same wall thickness the s/s is definatly stronger than mild steel.

    Mild Steel and Stainless Steel are almost the same Tensle. Have a look at the Bars that Gworks Make. There made from Chrome Molly Steel. If you had a set of the on your last Bike you would still have them.

    I have them listed on the VPW Site. Luke will also custom Make to your Spec
