    Hi all,

the dealer is putting these on when i pick up the street bob in a few weeks. Just wanted to know does anyone have these with the 1.5" baffle. He let me listen to them, but it was in a closed garage. The sound was good, but I'm not sure what they sound like in the street. I'm not doing computer and air for a little while, just the slip ons.

He reckons, I'll be getting good back pressure with the 1.5" while I haven't done any other mods. Should I stick with the 1.5 or go say 1.75. I can always change the baffles later.

    Cheers

over in the states there was a fair bit of comparison of the 1.5's to the 1.75s ( but this was on the 07 models at the time ) . the general consensus was that the 1.5s are fine without the need to open up the air and new chip, however once you go to 1.75 then you may want to do the upgrade. baffles are easy to swap out . probably around $150 for the 1.75 landed - but that is a wild guess. most riders in the states seemed to prefer the 1.75 . i also have the 1.75.

BUT noise will make a difference depending on what sort of pipe . i have slash cut . lastly after 3 yrs i have just taken them off .. they are starting to show some real wear and cant get them shiny enough for my taste. but thats after 37000k and kept in a carport at a beach side suburb. im sure that if looked after correctly the chrome is equal or better than other slip ons

over the next few weeks i will be using some elbow grease and plenty of product to see what can be done with them. Otherwise i might have a set of 1.75 baffles for you ;)

I also have rush slip-on's, how do you tell what size baffles you have, and is smaller=louder or the other way round. I do like the sound as it is.

I have the 1.75 with no other work done, no excessive popping, the sound is ok much better than stock neighbors wont complain, had rush 2.5 on an 883 sporty much louder and a beautful noise

flstc, thanks mate, if you do get rid of them let me know

also I was going to go with the slash downs, because i like the look. The ones the dealer showed me were slash cuts to the side. Is there a big difference in the sound?

I had a look at the website with the soundclips but my computer speakers are shit and all the pipes sound the same

I was going down the screamin eagle path but changed my mind to the Rush slip ons which should get fitted soon. Open Road in Sunbury have been brilliant and are worth the drive.
