Ok, so I get a lot of calls and emails on this subject. There is no simple answer. There are a number of Harleys that can be complied in AU. The cost is about 3-4000 dollars. There are only 4 engineers in oz who can have post 1989 Harleys complied.

The process is not easy and you have to know what you are doing and what the regulations are but it can be done.

 Nothing wrong with advertising here, especially if it's Harley related.  Just do a bit of research before you jump in then you won't get ripped off 

Frankly I am glide he posted this info as I had no idea it was possible to import easly a HD. and thanks as well for those who reply with more info (geezers).I always grindge when I see the price difference between here and US.

I will investigate more, I was looking for and RKC 11 but I would not mind getting a cheap RKC08 form US for half the price ;-)

And to be honest, importing a late model is such a minefield, and so many newbies reckon they can save a bundle, an experienced source of info is useful. He is not charging for questions....i hope!!!

When I brought my 07 Street Bob over from the states all I did was change the headlight and make my turn signals compliant.

I didn't have to change the speedo over either.

I did have to put the "stock" pipes back on (even though they didn't sound check them) and chenge my pegs over due to them being pointy.

Do you really save that much ,if for example you went for a 2009-2010 RK would there be any big saving after taxes and freight , not to mention , who's gonna but it for you ect
