White Lettering done easy!

     Hey Lads,

I just thought I would share with you a really quick way to get those letters white.  I really like the look of them, and I reckon they compliment a Fatboy nicely as it gives that muscle look and took less than half an hour.  I still need to wait for the paint to dry and then clean up the edges - probably 15 minutes work.  Hit it with some Armour-All and done!!

I am still in two minds as to wether I do the word "Dunlop" opposite the words Harley Davidson.

The way I did it was to use some "Rubber Like" foam that acted as a stamp.  Dip it in the paint, dab the excess off and then dab it on the lettering.  Give it two or three coats, and done!!

Still have to remove the bloody reflectors!!!  :(

    Cheers
    Mongrel

    Yep - I was thinking I should.

I just hope when the time comes, I can get the same bloody tyres - because I really like how they look.  :)

Nah - It would take me longer to clean it than it would to touch it back up!! LOL!!!

I did have a white "paint" pen thingy, which took me half a day to write on the tyres without making a complete balls up of it, but I gave up when I found the shit wore off after a week... You're tip seems much better - I might even try it.

    Thanks guys,

I got the idea from the Minister for Finance and Pleasure as she is right into this scrapbooking and stamping shit!! I was stuffing with a pen and she walks up all casual like and says... Why don't you stamp it - Like she had been doing it all her life or something!! GRR!!

Anyways - Yep - easy as - and done in 1 beer!!

    what did you use exactly?

I'm thinking a foam peice of thong (the kind you wear on ur feet!) would be OK?

WHAT paint did you use that model aircraft paint as mentioned?? That would be sweet as can do diff colour then.

It was a bit of foam that came with a model aircraft. The trick is that it has to be DEAD FLAT! Otherwise the paint will miss the raised letters. Anything flat will do. The paint was just some white enamel I had laying around.
