Hi Guys, newbie here. Has anyone fitted footboards for the passenger to their Fatboy? If so, how easy was the fit? I'm starting to set my bike up for a bit of touring and thought this might help keep the rear air-bag happy.

    Cheers

I just fitted a pair I bought from Debrix which were good quality. They fit in the same bracket as your standard footrests, the only thing is that they can rotate (Kuryakyn make an anti rotation plate - expensive) but I'm gonna see how they go, if they do rotate too much I am just going to tack weld the stud to the frame.

I have them on my Fatty, HD one's that match the front ones, my girl loves them. I didn't fit them as they were on it when I got it, however they very easy to fit.

Thanks for the replies guys, I appreciate it. 99Fat, do you have them fitted and have you tried them? I would have thought that they might be a bit of a safety issue if they rotate as your passenger is getting on/off the bike ?? I have visited theDebrix site. Do you know which model you have and do you remember the cost of the brackets from Kur.?
Tassiedave, are yours genuine harley or another brand?(Sorry, I reread your post after hitting enter) Also, how big are they approx. Do either of you have any photos I can study for looks/fit etc. Bought a rack for the rear yesterday, it connects to the quick release sissybar. I'm now looking at fitting a quick release windshield. Do either of you guys use a windshield?
All the Best, thanks for the replies.

Great looking ride Dave. The missus and I want to do some travelling in the next 6 months or so. I was thinking of changing to a roadking, but I want to keep my Fatboy. If we get into some serious touring then I'll get a tourer. It looks like your Fatboy was set up to tour. I don't want to commit too much in case I change it, or we decide to only do o'night trips etc. Thanks for the replies, I appreciate your efforts.
