A MOTORCYCLIST is dead after a car lost control and sent him over a guard rail into bushland on the NSW south coast.

Police say a woman was driving her car along Kings Highway at Nelligen about 10.15am (AEST) yesterday when it careered out of control and into a group of oncoming motorcyclists.

The vehicle narrowly missed two of the motorcycles but collided with a third.

The 38-year-old male rider was thrown backwards and over a guard rail and died from his injuries.

The 49-year-old female driver suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Canberra Hospital.

Before people going accusing of her for being a bitch or whatever I'm sure she didn't wake up that morning saying "I'll kill a rider today" she will have to live for the rest of her life knowing that she has taken someone out and killed them. I'm sick of hearing the blame game unless the person has killed due to car racing on the streets or otherwise.

Lets get back to what happened here - I know this road and drive it every day for years and years - I know every bad bit and know to miss it.
Iv'e have warned my kids about this corner @ have shown them how to drive it - come out wide to miss the ridge then come back in when you have passed it, or stay very slow on the inside.
This piece of road has been fixed up not so long ago - they stuffed it - this was always going to happen again!!
The tar has been pushed up into the middle to form a ridge from all the cars going around the sweeping corner, 6 inches or more - if an average driver was to loose the line here - there gone.
Don't blam this poor driver - blame the Road!!
Yes - most of the time it is the cage - this road is rat shit - who next!!

R I P to the rider and condolences to his family.

It may not always be the cagers fault but fuck me there are some idiot drivers out there. when I'm not riding I am in a white F350 4X4 and I still get these fuckin tossbags pull out in front of me and make like they didn't see me. Doesn't matter how long we have ridden or how good we think we are we ALL have to be extra vigilant out there.

    Ride safe peoples
