Hey guys, I have a 07 Bob and was wondering if anyone has changed the headlight bulb to something a bit better than standard. Thanks.

Thanks guys much appreciated. I live on the south coast and at night  the road out to home from the highway is notorious for roos hence the need for good lights! Thanks again,

I ended up getting some Osram bulbs from Roadrunner spares in Sydney, ordered in the morining and they were delivered the next day!  No part number required, all you need to know it that they are a H4 bulb. The one I got are called Starbright, they are +50%, they also have the 'Cool Blue' ones too which he recommended but they are a third the price on top. Havnt ridden at night to see the difference yet though.  Got the bulbs at trade price (30%off) postage was $13, did ask for the 75w ones but not in stock.

I see there has been mention of quite a few different sizes as below. is there a Maximum globe rating I can put into my 92 Sporty when I get to it ?

    70w/100w
    70/65W
    60/55watt

A guy from Daniel Stern Automotive Lighting sent me a relpy stating that the 70/65w was compatable with standard wiring but the 85/80w wasn't. So maybe your taking a risk putting anything bigger than 70/65w, wiring might start to get warmish from drawing too much current maybe, especially with later models that are on whenever the ignition is on.

    Food for thought.

Just fitted a Narva 48872BL bulb to my FXDX, and its a noticable improvement. One thing to note, my lense and reflector were fogged up the same as you get on the inside of car windows. I just wiped them clean with a microfibre cloth, and this has added to the result. I'm now going to give the full blast to the idiots in 4WDs who think it's great to use fog/spot lights at night in a city location.

yendor, try www.roadrunnerparts.com, I buy a lot of stuff for SES trucks from them, but if it's just a headlight bulb your after, just go to repco or similar, you pay less for the same item.
