Does anyone have an opinion on the 2011 models ? I was reading the changes for the 2011s in the tech link and was wondering is it better to buy a 2010

or wait for the 2011s as I am looking at getting a new fatboy ?

    Cheers

My take on this is some changes are good and some maybe not so good. The jury will be out for a while regarding 2011 changes like NO bushings in the cam plate or rod ends (piston end); a good change may be the HD LAN system that runs the many more of the electric systems but probably means that owner workability on these components will be delegated to the "Digital Technician" at the dealers. For example there is now no electrical path through the handlebar controls on 2011's.

If I were you I would start looking around for a killer deal on a 2010 as the 2011's are presently scheduled to be released on Sept 1, however this can slip depending on how many 2010's are waiting to move (as it was explained to me).

I got a killer deal on a 2009 Ultra in early September last year at Geelong HD just B4 the 2010's came out. Talk to Jason.... If you want to know more details on this send me a PM.

Don't like the idea of no bronze bushings in the cam plated connecting rod.

The clutch bearing is not as wide either, bet it's a cheaper, stingyer make also ( more cage than rollors).

Seems like cost cutting is going overboard here. Pushing more for quantity than quality.

Stick to the 2010's or earlier.

    Bring back the early evo's
