i take the car when it's raining , it's the safer option . why get wet when you dont have to
I'm a postie and I hate the F@#king rain but it doesn't worry me to ride in it,you just take things a bit easier and as mentioned above keep an eye out for oil etc. The worst time to ride is when we have had a long dry spell and then a small amount of rain which is not enough to wash the road clean and just makes it slippery. If it has been pissing down all day there is not much to worry about . I dont think you should be nervous about riding in the rain because eventually you will get caught in it and you should always be confident when you are on a bike, not hesitant. I do like the rain when I have been touring and it has been a stinking hot day.
there are times when I just need a little time on two wheels... so on goes the drizabone and full face etc etc... no silly stuff, just cruzin at at a sensible pace watching out for all the people trying to spoil my day. I enjoy riding and have the kit to make sure I don't get that drip running down by back into the bumcrack
be out tomorrow...........
I ride my Harley when the weathers good i ride it for enjoyment and i dont enjoy becoming a drowned rat.
if im out and it rains thats life.
Risky
Yeh but grunts r tough.....gunners like cover
I wouldn't go on a spur of the moment ride if it was pissing but I wouldn't let rain stand in the way of anything either!
Did'nt get a drop from Brissie to Adelaide last week ridin' the new Fat Slut. But was well mockered up and have done many a long mile in the rain over the years. Sometimes it refreshes the senses, other times it pisses you off but hey, life is short in the big picture so regardless, keep smilin' while ridin'.
