Has anyone put a Pro Charger supercharger on their 96 cube twin cam or know of someone who is using one on a late model Harley.

I'm considering a system on my stock 96 twin cam, got screaming eagle pro super tuner/ pipes and heavy breather at the moment.

Statistics show that power incerease is between 50-75% depending on boost setting.

Got quoted 10 grand for turbo install by Chopperworks. Harley dealer wants about 6.5 grand for 103 Screaming Eagle kit and Pro Charger are looking at 6.5 grand for bolt on horsepower better than either of the other two options.

If anyone knows about reliability of centrifical supercharger on stock motor I'd like to hear your views fellas.

    Need more streetable power

Don't keep me in suspence lads, what bad have you heard? I take the good with the bad.

I heard they had a tendency to implode....apparently that problem has been fixed by variation to the impeller design through R&D

My mate has a 96 with a Magna Charger. If it had a tongue it would be licking windows. Fucking thing goes but it runs as hot as fuck. Summer on a hot day in traffic and its come close to popping its pooh pooh valve a few times

    Thanks Hound Dog,

I knew a bloke who run a Magna charger on a worked softail Evo years ago, the thing went like stink but sure enough......didn't like the hot weather. Funny thing though, it was painted hot pink!

I personally don't like the looks of a Magna Charger, too much weight on the one side of the bike as well.

    cheers

Not much help: but... know of a bloke thats getting a procharger fitted to his streetbob. Says he's done his research etc, claims 50% increase, the charger is still on order though so could'nt tell you how the end result was. Not much change back from $8k i hear.

personally I'd think running any turbo/charger on stock engine would be less than ideal in the longer term....

Gentlemen , please do not encourage Bushy. I know this man ( as you can tell by the avatars) he is a monster. First it will be a pro charger, then nitrous, then massive cubes, then divorce court and the spare lounge at my place. Gotta admire his guts though!!
