We're actually throwing the original bodywork on it & racing the Nostalgia Nationals next weekend at Willowbank.
Hey small world, Joey is a mate of mine & he indeed built the gearbox. Scotty Lynch did the head & together we built the rest of it.
We were going out to the track for a skid on Saturday but a change of plans means that the Nostalgias will be a nice little test session.
I know what you mean about putting the power down, will be fun playing with tyre pressures & wheelie bar heights.
Like i said, small world.
Unfortunately entries are now closed, but if anyone comes out for a look it'll be worht it.
Some great old bikes & cars on show.
As you know we had a crack at the Nostalgia Drags on the weekend. & we had an absolute ball. After yet ANOTHER rebuild of the new engine we were just treating it as a running in session. Bugger me, we came home with the runner up trophy for Nostalgia Outlaw Bike.
Well done Rick and congrats now for first place.
Thanks Etch. We are more than happy with the way that weekend went, running in a new engine & all.
I actually lost the final because i "broke out" by going too quick, was still in testing mode & forgot about winning the race. LOL.
As well as the runner up we also got top qualifier and have also put in a claim for both the ET & MPH records for Nostalgia outlaw bike.
Once we get the tuneup & gearing sorted we should be screaming.
Rick
