Got hit by a 4wd drunk driver at 5 this arvo. She cut the corner and went side on into me.

Just bruises and grazes. The bike welllllll. That bit hurts a whole lot!!
Not looking forward to the hurt in the morning, body wise and when I see the bike in the light of day
I hate seeing posts with headings like this... somewhat apprehensive at opening .. only kidding mate
Magilla.. the main thing is that your typing this to us and were not reading it in the press. Drunk drivers are our worst nightmare!!
If you are insured then the process should be a lot simpler... especially if the other driver is at fault, pissed or not. If you are not insured then I believe it is a whole different situation. All the best mate and keep that chin up. Hope you are back on the tarmac soon
Gday Mag,
Gee that's sad news man, bloody DD's and inatentive car drivers are a real threat to us that ride.
Good to hear that your not badly hurt.
Hope your bike is fixed to it's original condition real soon.
Bt
Sorry to hear about your misfortune Magilla.
DD's and mobile phone usere while driving are my and I sspose every rider's worst nightmare. Hope you will heal soon.
Is the insurance going to replace your bike? Are they going to give you a new anniversary FatBoy?
Hope all is as well as can be Magilla
Yeah glad to hear you are at home, hope everthing goes smoothly until you are up and riding again.
At this stage I feel like I've been hit by a truck (well a 4wd anyway) the bruises, sprains, lumps and bumps have surfaced.
The bike, I checked over today and it appears to be all bolt on damage. The frame, wheels and forks look OK.
Must say though, if I didn't have the engine crash bar fitted I probably would be in hospital with a smashed leg. Very lucky.
Driver has been charge with DIU, dangerous driving causing injury and a whole heap of others.
All's good and life goes on. I really do appreciate my life!!
Thanks again for all the well wishes. It honestly makes me 'well up' to know people actually do care.
I know that there are some that are'nt so lucky. All I can say is be vigilant. I thought I was but it has certainly has opened my eyes.
After 26 year of riding I thought I had it sussed. How wrong I was. Take care.
Hey Magilla
With all the wide open spaces in the top end,I thought you would have been able to find a better place to park than under the front of a 4wd.As others have said, metal is easy to replace, limbs and life not so.Now is the time to really ride to enjoy the lifestyle.Hope the bumps and bruises don't hurt too much and that the bike is repaired pronto.
nobody
