I was in a different state and could only check by phone. Best and easiest way to fob someone off ... "I will get them to ring you back" was quoted on more than one occasion to me.

Check with your insurer, my insurer told me they had 25 days to fix the bike once assessed ... the catch was that this timeframe was overruled if parts werent available

Might be worth checking, then ask the shop if parts are all there, if they say yes get it in writing, then let them know what the insurer told you and also let the insurer know that all parts are there.

I feel your pain .... 3 months it took me, my bike wasnt fully repaired, but I got all parts, just have to finish the repair off myself

I have had the runaround, the quote was sent, Peter Stevens didn't have it, went back to the shop, We will send it again, PS havent sent it back, rang PS, someone hasn't sent it they will do it now, the quote sent back was for half the gear (rim not complete front wheel, painted front guard), now we have to ring the insurance co. for approval, we got the ok, PS dont have all the bits, the screaming eagles ain't available no more we have to have S&S, we have to ring the insurance co. for approval, we got the ok, we are waiting for PS to get all the part as one order, PS (today) are booking in the last of the parts now, they are going to send them (I hope) this afternoon) if they do, they should be here Monday, Tuesday at the latest. As Whyalla is 400Ks from Adelaide, it will properly be Tuesday week

Maybe pick the bike up Saturday. Not fully finished. Mufflers and tank still to come, but roadworthy.

Insurance company still giving me the shits, insisting I pay the excess $400 until the bitch (no offence to females) admits liability.  The insurance company informed me today that they have sent a letter to her TODAY (only been 2 months...they forgot) to ask if she admits liability. In other words did she fuck up.

They won't take my word, description, maps etc or the cops report, maps etc. We have to wait for her to say yes or no. FFS. How hard is it!!!

So far she's skipped 2 court dates. The cops reckon they are going to lock her up the day before the next court date next month so she can't miss the next court date.

maybe friday to get mine back, the front wheel arrived, no tire or bearrings, the front guard was painted vivid black, my bikes Sunglo Lave Red.

the pipes wer sent, but the dealer hasn't got them, ????????? I feel the pipes on my bike have some minor scratches could be buffed out, they could have a free set of pipes to sell, I know where the scratches are but a look over the bike and most proberly would overlook them.

I got the ok from the insurance company that I can keep all parts that come off my bike including the pipes

Why do you have to admit your in the wrong when your driving pissed ?

Be thankful that it happened where it did, cos if it happened here in Sth Oz, Mike Rann (our bike lovin' premier) would have given her a commendation and had you booked for attempted murder... I go back to work on the 27 of this month.
I am coming to Pt. Pirie on Tuesday, my mates Suzuki Boulevard 109 is due its first service, I will be riding his wifes bike to get some K's on it, almost 12 months and she done 400Km,
We are going for a game of tenpin while we wait. he wont put a bet on the game, and he wants bumpers.
I had a series last week of 224, 278 and a 199. (701)

Well, after 11 and a half weeks...............................................

I've got my bike back!!!

Not finished but road worthy and ridable.

Rode it back from Darwin today. Smiled for the whole 250km.

Waiting on tank and a muffler. They will call me when they arrive.
