Geez Magilla that's not what we want to hear about any of us. The good thing is that you are pretty much OK.
Must be a bummer to see your pride and joy damaged.
Keep us informed on the damage.

I hate seeing posts with headings like this... somewhat apprehensive at opening .. only kidding mate

Magilla.. the main thing is that your typing this to us and were not reading it in the press. Drunk drivers are our worst nightmare!!

If you are insured then the process should be a lot simpler... especially if the other driver is at fault, pissed or not. If you are not insured then I believe it is a whole different situation. All the best mate and keep that chin up. Hope you are back on the tarmac soon

    Magilla,

I feel for you, but as others have said .. at least you are alive ..and that is all that counts

sacrilige I know ..but .. a bike is just a hunk of metal, it can be replaced .... you at least live to ride another day

looks like you earnt some brownie points doing that last ride and just traded them in :)

At this stage I feel like I've been hit by a truck (well a 4wd anyway) the bruises, sprains, lumps and bumps have surfaced.

The bike, I checked over today and it appears to be all bolt on damage. The frame, wheels and forks look OK.

Must say though, if I didn't have the engine crash bar fitted I probably would be in hospital with a smashed leg. Very lucky.

Driver has been charge with DIU, dangerous driving causing injury and a whole heap of others.

All's good and life goes on. I really do appreciate my life!!

Thanks again for all the well wishes. It honestly makes me 'well up' to know people actually do care.

I know that there are some that are'nt so lucky. All I can say is be vigilant. I thought I was but it has certainly has opened my eyes.

After 26 year of riding I thought I had it sussed. How wrong I was. Take care.

    Hey Magilla

With all the wide open spaces in the top end,I thought you would have been able to find a better place to park than under the front of a 4wd.As others have said, metal is easy to replace, limbs and life not so.Now is the time to really ride to enjoy the lifestyle.Hope the bumps and bruises don't hurt too much and that the bike is repaired pronto.
