ok , here's the deal,

went up to start the missus's 01 sporty, carby model,  key in , select N, hit the button, click then nothing,

ok i know it might be the battery ( it's on charge now) but now when you turn the key to the start position , no headlight, no dash light, no speedo, no action from the starter that you would normally get with a dead battery, nothing

when you turn the key you only get any action at the accessory point , park light, speedo shows but still no dash lights, 1 click more to start position and nothing at all,

there was a deffinate click , like something tripped down under the seat on the first start attempt,

so my question is where to start looking , is there a fuse or relay that might have gone and where is the bugger, any other thoughts would help

Hi, our 08 did something similar, it was the starter relay. Replaced it with an off the shelf non genuine from the local auto elec for $40-00. Hope this helps. Matt.

thanks for the help guys, checked all the fuses and relays, all ok, swapped out the battery and she started straight up, looks like you were rrrrrrr, rrriiigh, rrrrright, right RT, looks like new battery tomorrow
