Guys I flicked the V&H Wide Radius that came on my new-second-hand 103 '05 Fat Boy and had the original SE2 pipes re-fitted. Better back pressure and I really like that deep SE sound but they are absolutely deafening, to the extent that its making for an uncomfortable ride and I'm going to have to use ear plugs. NO, SERIOUSLY - catastrophically, dangerously, loud!
I have a Nolan full face and am blaming that at the moment in case there is some sort of resonation problem that the helmet doesn't cope with. I'm reluctantly going to ear plugs and when dollars permit might go to a quieter helmet, but has anyone had this problem? Negative comments on full face helmets are welcome on the other thread about quiet helmets - I ain't changin' !
You're not startin' to show your age are ya ??
My old man used to complain about music being too loud, when he got the north side of 60 !
a mate just had his Vand H big radius on a 103 baffled up .... sounds much more user friendly and dont think any power loss noticed ... still retain that tough look too
Ok, problem solved. Steamer stuck his eye up the back of my pipes (this is just a gift for you so you can go crAzy with dumb and pointless, yet funny, crude remarks) and made some comment about the totaL lack of baffles. Hmmm...yep, that might do it!
How's the serenity? Not as good at Wiseman's as it was before.
