Is it ok to charge the battery while it's still connected to the bike, even if I have the iginition off?

Reason I ask it I rekon last time my battery went flat I disconnected the positive lead to re-charge it and my thundermax settings went to crap.  I read afterwards that you should pull the ECU fuse before disconnecting the battery.

The charger I've got is a 12v 2.7amp, do you rekon that would be ok?

Battery has only died on me once and it's been ok since I charged it a couple of weeks ago but I thought I might give it a bit of a boost before the ride tomorrow just in case.

Hi KC I,ve always been lead to believe that you should always pull the battery out of any vehicle. Or disconnect it at least.
Why I don't know.
Midweek rides are highly over rated anyway (some of us have to work Mon-Fri)

I do the same ... Works fine..Leave it on as long as u like it will just top up if needed then maintain..
