    Hi Guys,

I am chasing knowledge of Lub Oil Cooler Kit for my Softail. I have in my pocession 1 x HD Lub Oil Cooler Kit # 62913-00B (genuine) but I am unsure whether I should install this item. I have trawled the net for references and applications but have not found anything that gives me confidence to install. I also have found other Kit's #62913-00A and  another one Advertised as a "Premium Oil Cooler" which appears to be for the Touring Models, ( I do not have this part # at this time of printing).

I have also cross referenced this parts number # 62913-00B ,to the issued parts catalogue but the number does not come up, this is unusual for HD as they are pretty good for tracking down documentaion or supportive information.

Does anybody out there have some specific knowledge of this Lub Oil Kit?

I am running the JAGG Low mount oil cooler on my bike 07 Heritage with the adapter shown. And no problems at all with installation. The HD oil cooler uses a very similar design so it shouldn't make a difference. I would have bought one of those but the cost was somewhat expensive and I had my doubts about the back pressure that would be caused from having the cooler mounted high in the frame, and would all that oil from the pipes and cooler drain back into the sump once you stopped the bike. ( Maybe not an issue though) Either way they do make a difference to oil temps, mine doesn't get to 200 on a good run. Came back from Sedan yesterday and it was hovering around the 190F mark when I got home. Admittedly it is winter atm so I hope to see a marked improvement come the warm weather.

Thanks for your input ACF-50, I had this information and this is what makes it confusing, this does not specify  96B motors. Once again many thanks for the reply.

I have not seen this type of Lub Oil Cooler, but I will make the effort to have a squizz. If I do not find the water tight answers that I require, I will be looking for something else. You have asked some relevent questions that I will keep in mind for future reference, So AJ56 many thanks for your time to reply.
