TTS map to suit Woods 6

OK, I have what I believe is a very good map that started from AE176-02 and took a lot of hard work Vtuning, blending, etc.

This suits my 96" Fatbob with hd ac and 2-1 system. Dynoed 78hp and 90fp.

Trouble is after all that hard work, I have to start again, after I install Woods 6 cams in a couple of weeks. It's a pain in the arse! but I guess I'll deal with it!!!

My question is ....... Should I continue with my current map (which is a labour of love, and I'd hate to abandon it unless I have to!)

or.............. Do I start again using CAA176-02, which is a base map for 96" a/c and 2-1 pipes, .550" lift 211/235 duration cam?... (woods 6 = .510" lift, 240 duration cam)

    Appreciate any advice.

    Thanks, Burto.

Cam choice in map selection seems reasonably important in the VTune manual. After all it directly controls your VE's. I take that to mean if your orignal cam is very different from the stock then starting with a closer map may be good idea. I would try VTuning with both maps, you will find out pretty soon which way to go.

So Oz, you reckon the CAA176-02 map is the way to go for my set up?
Its the only one thats close, even though the cams lift and durations are different.

    Hey Oz,
ended up going with the CAA-176 and did a few vtunes, could probably be improved some more but I'm holding out till I fit a SE 103 (stage 1) kit soon.
Tossing up between current CAA and uping the engine size or trying one of the others..............any opinions??

Look up “copy multiple tables” in the Help file section of Mastertune and it will take you through how to copy any tables you want all at one time.

    Hey Burto
Why not just up your displacement & V-Tune.
I am using the same map (CAA-176), but changed spark table values from map 127HD019 onto map CAA-176 & went V-tuning.
This happened to be real close to start with but I did max out 1 (127.5) VE cell 20% TPS @ 5600RPM.
Also did a Spark Data run with no knock. Probably couldve tweaked timing a bit but I am planning on a dyno tune very shortly, so I didn't bother
Oh yeah I am runnin 95",Andrews 37 & 2:1 Fatcat. Cam is fairly similar numbers to Woods 6-6 & SE 203.
I can send you this map if you want Burto, just PM me your email address

No worries Oz, have been meanin to, just haven't found the time yet.

Still wonderin whether to try a diferent map after I fit the 103 kit...............would prefer to get the closest base map to start with.........as I've posted before, havin a lot of trouble with laptop playing up while data running!

Interested to hear any answers to your questions re mixing maps.

Hopefully will trial the mix I mentioned above tomorrow, see how it goes!

OK, loaded the CAA176/141NW combination and took it for a run. First impressions was it seemed to run smoother and pulled a little better!

So I thought I would do some vtune runs..........well the FCKN laptop decided not to play the game again!!!!......(think I'm gonna bite the bullet and buy another one, one with a serial port, at least that will eliminate the chance of dodgy usb connections!)............but eventually I got 3 half reasonable runs out of it, not all the hits I would usually like to get, but a start anyway.

Still need to do some more vtuning but I will download my updated map to the bike tomorrow and see how it goes on the way to the Ulladulla bike show.

One thing that I must mention............. When you have a combination of 2 maps like I have done here, you run into trouble when you try to "set to original" your AFRs after vtuning. It will reset them to the original map that you started with, not the "copied" map that you pasted over. In my case, I pasted AFRs, VEs and Spark tables to CAA-176 from 141-NW . Now if I try to "set to original" the AFRs, I get the original CAA-176 table.

To overcome this, instead of hitting "set to original"........I just copied the AFRs from 141-NW again and re pasted.  Too easy!
