Can't say enough about the dyno tune boys, honestly, makes me feel like I was rolling around with some muddy ethanol watered down fuel and now she's on crack cocaine and begging for more abuse... shit will stop there, getting excited by my own analogy now, anyway CHART attached for your reading pleasure, I put the details up in top left corner for ya's... Definately can feel the difference in Torque, leaves some great marks out front of the local shops now!

Got it done at Trivetts, awesome dyno machine and they did the 2 runs, so BLUE is with the pipes/air that I installed myself, then RED is same with SERT2 installed and tuned/re-mapped. You can see how much smoother the curve is etc, but one thing that amazes me is you'd swear the rev limiter has been pushed out 800rpm as I just don't seem to hit it at all now whereas before dyno we said Hello almost every gear.

So that's 1,000klms and 1st service outta the way, now to try and kerb the desire to fit wild cams....

Glad you are happy with the result Superglide but...

According to that chart they did three pulls in three hours.

Throwing a map in the bike will make a huge difference if the one in there is way off.

Have they touched up a map just for your bike or just dropped a canned map in it and run it on the dyno to give you some numbers?

    cheers

Do the lines usually look that smooth? mine looks abit more jagged than that.

hey Surl. yes very happy. how can you tell it was 3 runs?

Yeah they said / we disucssed that they would tune to suit the specific mods, e.g. run custom test/dyno but I could'nt tell you for sure.
Might just hav to ask that question nxt time i'm down there.

the Numbers look alright to me??

    Chilly,

The smoothing factor is set to 5 which would give you very smooth lines.

    Superglide,

Look at the two file names. One ends in 18 which is as you delivered the bike. The other is 21...which was after 20 and 19 being done. Hopefully 20 and 19 were done on your bike.

    cheers

yes, i would also be expected a bit more on the numbers BUT if the dyno butt says its FAB then thats all you need. I say enjoy the ride and when you ready start thinking some warm cams etc for 110+/110+ numbers

Jeez, tough crowd as always! No I appreciate ur input, I will aska bew questions from the above when I'm next down there, main point is I'm very very happy with it and I know when an engine/combo is on song and this thing is tuned, responsive & revving like a fiend - despite pretty charts / numbers - could i perhaps get more out of it? I'm sure I could, but shes lovvvvellllly all the same so I'm happy.

Trivetts were talking about their dyno is very accurate (read conservative) and that if a bike pulls decent #'s on there then it will be VERY decent #'s on most other dyno's in Sydney. Dunno, that's what they said so don't shoot me. Have you blokes dyno'd? have you got your numbers?

Who here is running a 110 thats actually been dyno'd?

I agree with all the above - the ol' bum dyno is the key. I've owned plenty of fast machines & driven & ridden plenty more. You know yourself what's quick and what works.
Previous FXDC was (for a very stock bike) pretty quick at least 3 harley owning mates have commented on that after doing bike swaps with me. It was just super snappy and revved out hard. Would it have put special numbers on a dyno though? I very much doubt it. (Personally I think it needed a tune and some more back pressure - wish now I'd dyno'd it)

Point in case would be the 103 kit, Trivett sell a full on kit for about 9 thousand dollars (!?) and they have had quite a few takers. There 103 demo bike is a WG that's been stipped and rebuilt 3 or 4 times so it is now punching absolute highest numbers w/flat top pistons etc it has 2-1 megaphone exhaust etc etc. It's meant to be an animal and everything designed around power/numbers. Now again, I'm no expert, but the BUM DYNO thrashed this bike for a good hour and a 1/2 on some decent roads, and IMHO there is NO WAY that this bike would beat my 110.

Let ya know what feedback/info I get from Trivs. In the meantime be keen to hear actual/proven numbers you guys are running - especially any 103/110 donks?

Failing that boys; personally i'd be alot happier if we leave the graphs to the computers WE line up bum dyno to bum dyno, mano el' mano, WOT to WOT,
at WSID on any wednesday night of your choosing.... oh yeah!

Ps.... to any punters that are'nt experienced in this stuff or don't map there own bike etc etc - my original point remains; get ur bike on the dyno/mapped etc EARLY in the peice, as you will be very bloody impressed, the thing just comes alive!

Yeah FLSTC/Stix/etc I was always going to do the cams with the purchase,
but in the end they were discounting the 2009 CVO's hard as you would know, so I ended up negotiating on the bike only.
Happy I did'nt tho really as performance is great as is and gives me something to work towards.
Have you heard of a new 49E or similar that is first cam designed purely for injected engines?

FYO - yes understand all about the EPA shit etc, hence all breathing gear now replaced and also pissed off really that you buy a screaming eagle bike but "due to EPA in Cali" you
don't get a SE comptuer. License to print money I reckon. I just gained 18% buddy so I'm happy with that despite the conjecture,
(for all I know the 10-15% gain would already be there on another dyno machine who knows). yeah vtwin is good yes, also http://www.cvoharley.com/ is specific for 110's.
Dyno'd your bike?? What are numbers/mods/engine have you got???

haha yeah fair enough. I like the pissing contest (granted I'll lose but it's still fun) So what would be the standard compression on a 96 cube like my old FXDC or 110 cube like mine now?

Fucking got me thinking re varying the throttle etc. Makes me feel like they butchered the 1st run to make the result look better. Hmm. ah well like said - will ask a few questions and see if they squirm or not.

Bastards are all in W.A? damn, was looking forward to staring at Stix's number plate for a good 12 seconds or so!

Can't wait to give her a run at WSID. Specially' while the air is nice and cold atm.
The ol' superglide was first bike I dragged at the track, started off very bloody sketchy but after many runs had the reaction time down and stuff, but from memory P.B was 13.4 so be interesting how new girl goes, I'd like to think can get to low 12's with some luck.

    yeah exzackery Bano
am in process of doing that now, i know dealer will say you need cams to really get it kicking.

yeah i'm going to ask few questions of em coz the map in a can is what i'm wondering about as Surly said intitially. would'nt be hard to vary the throttle and stuff, come up with a shit run and then compare that against a straight out one. my understanding was they were going to dyno TUNE it as I have put MoFlow etc which I wanted a specific/custom tune for. We'll see. The thing is really cracking tho so if someone who knows how to really tune the SERT2 can get better out of it like you've had then that would be fricken awesome.

(i did get the actual unit / interface etc off them also - as for alot of guys I've heard dealers keep em)

yeah ah well mate i've talked to ozroder and stuff b4 but end of the day i just want to enjoy it now for a good few klms as really she's only just broken in.
Once i've done say another 500klms i will take to WSID for few runs. Then maybe have a tinker/get some advice and compare again on the track.

btw SG . i got mine dynoed at trivett when they first got the machine ... my numbers werent pretty before or after , but then again its a softtail . i dont think they really knew much about it back then as well . bloody felt ripped off when i got the bill.

at the time i also hopped on a 07 yellow fatty they had put a 103 kit in - the paint job was F A B but was under whelmed by the perfermance ... dont get me wrong about Trivetts , will always give them business - but im not too sure about their expertise in shed as the good mechanics dont seem to last very long .
