I took a new 2010 Fatty for a ride today and I have just stumbled across these forums. 

All going well I may have a new toy!!

I currently ride a custom Vstar, but I think it is time for an upgrade.

My baby below - I think I am going to have a hard time parting with her.

I hear ya... I am just going to have to bite the bullet I guess. It is just 2.5 year of blood sweat and tears into my baby, and to think someone else will ride her is tuff!!

I guess when you put your heart, soul and hard earned into any project, you get emotionally attached! I just need to get past that - and I will, and like the rest have said. 2 minutes on the hog, and the star will be a distant memory.

Mongrel I was ready to go for a Fat Boy anyway, but the thing  that really convinced me was this technical observation from Phantom about what the Fatty says about its rider:

"I'm hung like a rogue elephant and I ride the same bike Arnie does - WooHoo!". 

Or as Evilsim described his: "Even my starter motor sounds tough!"

I indeed will call you on for tech and ugrade tips!! There is no way I will get a fatty and then just leave it stock. That would be sacrilege!!

The first thing that will need to change is the riding position. It was not what I would call "comfy" for me. I would want to get the bars up on risers I think and a little more pulled back. I would probably change the seat out too.

Hmm... I need to get my hands on it first!! Gee the days go slow while I wait.

OK - so now I have a question!!

On my Star I have a Kurry HyperCharger (I love the look) is there an mounting kit to be able to put this on the Fatty??

Not to worry!! I Did it!! I just bought the 2010 Fatty in Flame Blue!! Should have it by the end of the week.
