to get better take off i was to put 883 gears on my 1200c 2010 does it make any difference or what is the best way go

give it some old son,ya gearing should be ok,i aint a grease monkey but the couple of 883 i v rid seemed ok

The 883 has a Smaller Front Pulley 28 tooth the 1200 has a 30. Yes the bike will have a quicker take off but you will loose about 400 RPM from the Top End

lights to lights racing you'll do better with the 883 gearing ..if you want 1/4 mile the 1200 gearing will probably get you better times as you get a better top speed ....

have you changed the mufflers & the air cleaner element  to a K&N  with a tune up  ? , then  right elbow to the ground & full throttle open & then  dump the clutch lever in 1st gear   see if thats not fast enough  you can always put a big bore kit in her
