Went 10 yrs in a row some of my friends used to race there, great place brillant atmostphere and the racing is free.
I'd like to get over there one day would be great, have watched lots on tv and dvd but one dvd that's worth a look is Joey 1952-2000, the life of racing legend Joey Dunlop
I remember drivin in the car and hearin that Joey Dunlop had died, choked me up a bit incredible rider. Amazing how they race there, front wheel in the air half the time
i actually only just returned from the Isle Of Man TT race (2010) , approx 2 weeks ago . i went there with Suzuki Australia motorcycles team , as i work in the motorcycle industry . Got to meet all the champs in person e.g = Cameron Donald , Michael Dunlop , Ian Hutchinson etc etc etc , spent time with with the Relentless Suzuki team & must say its faster & more spectacular in real life up close . Then went to London & checked out the scene there for a bit , Isle Of Man TT is simply the best , trip of a lifetime .
Joey Dunlop is dead 10 yrs last week, was a sporting hero in ireland they was over 50,000 at his funeral.
I was at the 2007 100th Anniversary TT, it was the best motorsport event i've ever been to, real road racing. If you get a chance to go, jump on it.
Well the Dunlop curse continues .......William Dunlop killed today during practice
bugger,Rip. will dunlop......sadly there is an element of risk.
