Does anyone know where to get one of these in Aust?  I can get one from the states for US$30.00 but it costs more to post it over to Aust.  All I need is an adapter that goes between the tail light connector under the seat that allows you to wire up the trailer plug.  I am not keen on cutting and splicing the wires for the trailer.  But I am also not impressed with the postage cost.  I have been on the net that last few days and for the life of me I cannot find anywhere in AU that sells these things.

Go to a dealer and buy the plug and socket for connector under the seat, I think they are 3 bucks each plus the pins. Takes about half hour to make the short plug in harness like this one: http://www.alfa-mate.com/

Done 8 bucks. Why didn't I think of that.... I asked HD if they have the harnesses for sale and nope... They didn't even know where to go to get one in Australia. I find it amazing that you can't get them in Aust.

Yeah, how HD stock spares// items is frikkin unbelivable, they would have no idea about a harness.

I have my first bike that I'm restoring a Honda 74 model, go to Honda and I can get 99% of the parts for a 40 year old bike.

Go down to local HD dealer the other day with a list of 10 HD part numbers for my Evo, 8 are no longer produced, 2 are a 4 week wait- what a joke!

Ok bit of a bitch about ordering parts from the dealer.

I ordered the parts to make my own harness, I required an 8 place Multi Lock plug the same that is under the seat that connects the rear wiring harness to the main harness, Rang up the dealer and ordered the connector and pins to suit. No worries will be a couple of days. Parts got lost through the system etc took a week and rang up today to check, yep they are in. Beauty dropped into town today after work to pick them up. Only one half of the connector with pins, I asked where's the other half and was told that's how Harley do things, If you wanted the whole connector you should have asked for the other half at the same time? WTF I asked for a connector not half a connector be it male or female. If I wanted half a connector I would have asked for either the male or female end with pins and would expect to have to purchase the whole item, but no Harley in their infinite wisdom split the items why? I expect so they can charge double the cost for the whole item. And to keep people on their toes just so they can be different.
When I ordered the parts I explained what they were for and how they fit into the electrical system etc. You would think that any person working in spare parts would have some semblance of understanding and could understand. Obviously not in my case.

    Bitch over!
