Hey Crimson - no!!  Cops are exempt under this Act. (of course..) like cops don't need to get gun licences, they are exempt under the Firearms Act from licensing requirements.

The only time a cop would be in breach of this Act is if he is not acting in an "official" capacity (ie, as part of his job). So if he is issuing a  ticket, he's OK. but if he has a drink

after work and chats with a crim, goes to a BBQ where there's a crim etc, he's technically done like anyone else.

thanks for the link Paul, I'll pass it on. I think the cocksuckers in the power do not know what real mateship is

    Yes gsh..  NFI.

You will see my ride in that clip, but I am fighting for ALL motorocycles.  Many of these blokes in these "outlaw" MC clubs are war vets:

Vietnam, Malay, even Korean wars. What absolutely amazes me is that here we have the GOVERNMENT training these blokes to

kill for queen and country then when they finish their tour of duty they simply put them out to pasture with no "de-programming" so

they can assimilate back nto our society.  Then they wonder why these types of people become rebels (hence the attraction towards

motorcycles and Harleys in particular - I'm sure it's left overs from the bad-boy image that Marlon Brando portrayed in Rebel withour

    a Cause)

What the F*** do they expect!!  How can a military bloke do anything else??  I have gummint training myself and I cannot help but

think a certain way now.  Even if I rebel, there is method and procedure in my behaviours - hence we end up with ORganised

Motorcycle groups.  (doesn't mean it tows the military line but it can...)

Then you have the "field training" constantly input since birth to the new hoons - it's called TV, media, marketing, radio, and so on.

They grow up seeing that "Just Do It" is aceptable behaviour. "Obey Your Thirst" (and f*** any consequences - me first), "If You

want it Now, You Can Have it Now" ... helloooo,,, sounds like incitement to just take what you want and if you can't actually

afford it, that doesn't matter, just take it anyway.

    and so on.

Nope, I believe we are reaping what we sow here  and the gummint is doing its usual knee-jerk reaction for the almighty f***ing

VOTE. Not looking a the underlying issues and dealing with them.. nope.  As you say - NFI.

So now they are setting up the situation to punish everyone for the few. reminds me of when I was a kid at school and someone

threw something in class, didn't own up, so the whole class was kept in.  THAT's the mentality level of this government we are

    seeing here.

And don't start me about the cops... they are such a typical  example of "Group Think Mentality". Us and them. pffft.

I don't hate all cops BTW, my best mate happens to be one, but unfortunately - JUST LIKE US - there are a few that give them

all a bad name.  Standard human behaviour in any group...

So mateship is part of the motorcycle fraternity by the very nature of it and all this stupid stupid stupid law has done is to

    cement that.

(I'd better stop now - I'm starting to rant..)

    Paul

thanks for the link, just watched it ... very interesting

funny how the pollies have no issues conducting a social experiment which can send people to jail .... bit of a harsh social experiment ... but on the bright side, the people of SA can be officially called lab rats

what will happen as a result of this bill is that the pollies will want results to back up what they have been saying ... this will then filter down to the police force and they will have to show the pollies that they are doing their job ... this then flows onto the targeted group .... motorcycle gangs ... what is the most common aspect of 1% clubs ... patches and harleys

so they see a patch or a harley .. they will target, especially groups ... victimisation by appearance ... other types of groups will be left alone ..jap/sport bikes ..simply because 1% clubs dont ride them

the true victims will be the people on the fringes who will get dragged in by the police in their rush and enthusiam to please their bosses and as a result, have their lives altered forever

however ... all this crap should never stop anyone from riding their motorbikes ..then the pollies win ... as one of the person interviewed outlined, they have been targted before, but it didnt stop them .. this law will affect people in a negative way but it wont stop the 1% clubs .. they have been around in one form or another since man has existed ...used to ride horses, now they ride motorbikes ... they are as much part of our society as corrupt police are ...they will always be around

but it wont stop the 1% clubs .. they have been around in one form or another since man has existed ...used to ride horses, now they ride motorbikes ... they are as much part of our society as corrupt police are ...they will always be around......YOUR SO RIGHT rkc07.

And H/D would have been lost without them, the only way they survived was marketing the outlaw image.

If it comes to Vic, I will do my time and wear it as a badge of honour........ Pollies, "Phark Um".
