Iv'e been caught in the rain before, not like this though, I rode from Nerriga to the Kings Hwy this morn in the dirt, clay -  my bike is just caked in crap - I hosed it off - truck washed it and its still not good enough - any tips?

I would use truck wash and lots, lots, lots of water, make sure the truck wash doesn't dry on the bike and she'll be right

i use S100 all purpose cleaner and a high pressure sprayer on my HOG. I too was take on a dirt road much to my dismay, especially after i had spent 4 hrs the previous night detailing it. It cleans it ok, but a bit of elbow grease is needed to get the nooks and crannys. I also use S100 engine bright for the engine block to keep it nice and black

Thanks for the help Gents!! Ha - had a go with a bit of degreaser - then some Autosol for 2 hrs - have another go tomorrow night, yer Crusty send her over tomorrow so when I get home from work its all done - and she has earned $500 for cleaning and polishing the bike for me.

If its raining tomorrow - there is a BBQ and free piss on at my place!!

Buy a new bike

This is what ya do.......get yaself some ct-18 and a 1 litre hand held squirt bottle and a pair of sunglasses, put about 1 cm of ct-18 in the squirt bottle and top up the squirt bottle with water then spray the whole bike.....let dry for about 10-15 minutes or until ya bike looks like a rat bike, put on the sunglasses and hose the bike off  ( pressure cleaner should not be needed but might be helpful ) .......problem solved......ps,  if you forget to put the sunglasses on the chrome bits are gunna blind ya.

Cheers Farmer and Motor Head - I did that - it was much better - then I diluted a bit of Degreaser and tried that.
I just finished washing the Saddle bags, Sissy bar, boots , jacket, leather pants and seat - then hit them with the leather dressing - all good.

The bike is going to take some cleaning - Farrk Nerriga - a good night though!

I thought you went out in the rain to wash your bike? maybe I am doing it wrong, JK had the same issue with mine when i road over a long strech of road works covered my bike in all sorts of crap, all i did was hit it with the hose when i got home and left what ever was stuck there on the bike, with the weather out here its gonna dry and drop off anyway so why worry.

Good work, Yeah my OCD helps with cleaning big time, but I was spewing Satdee spent 4 hrs cleaning/polishing, thought you beauty after a Major like that I usually don't need more than a quick wipe/detail for 2 months, then Sundee out past windsor got caught on dusty unsealed roads, then 10 klms up road they had hosed it to stop dust so copped the mud. Ah well, it's all good fun. Just thrash the fucker now for few weeks and then back onto the toothbrush and Mr Sheen (lemon fresh)
