i was told by johny hog that i could put pipes( Vance & Hines ) big raduis on my sportser 1200 2010 with out a race tuner or fuel pack if i dont touch my air cleaner. is it worth paying extra cash for race tuner and air cleaner can you actualy notice the power difference he said power only comes from air clean and race tuner not pipes

Ok,,,, dont buy the Vance & Hines Pipe if it's the Big Radius Style that you like . Hooker Trouble Makers are the same and you can get them for around $600.00, Vance & Hines are around $1200.00

There are many different Tuners on the Market. One that is very good and works fine with what you want to do is a Power Commander, The Standard Model will give you plenty of Fuel to Richen up your Bike once you Open Up the Exhaust and Air Cleaner . If you add Cams and Heads then you can get a Up Grade for that plugs in to it. The up Grade allows more Tuning and Rev Options.

The Standard Unit is know as a PC5 You can get them for $425.00.

Why do you need this ? Once you add a Free Flowing Exhaust and a Better Flowing Air Cleaner the Engine Need More Fuel as it is set Very Lean by HD to meet Emissions. The SE Race Tuner is a bit over the Top for just Air Cleaner and Exhaust.

Hey Walka where can i get the Trouble Makers for $600....that sound awful cheap

 I went from stock on my Iron to Heavy Breather, Pro-Tuner and SE slips ons in one stage so I can't say what worked and what didn't but WOW it flew after that. And a fantastic sound (if you like that deeper, less loud, SE note, which I do a lot). V&H BIg Radius on my fatty - great for annoying the neighbours but not such a sweet sound IMHO.
