what should i buy Vance & Hines or screaming eagel parts i want to get pipes and race tuner (fuel pack). keeping in mind the for best hp and sound
Here's two of my Bikes, The Black 06 has Hooker Trouble Makers and my old 95 has Bassani Sweepers. SE's are a good Slip On but have a look at Sonic, Aussie Made and very well priced
Sonic also made a very nice and not to Loud 2 in to 1
Bassani New Firesweep
Pipe Dream Nite Merez
BUB's 2 INTO 2
BUB's 2 into 1
Bassani Pro Streets
Hooker Trouble Makers.....look good, sound good....
I followed Kingchops advice and put SE SP on my Iron - fantastic, a nice deep rumble matched with the heavy breather and pro tuner.
Last week I got an 05 Fat Boy and road it to the dealers yesterday to get engine guards fitted and by the time I got there asked the workshop to toss the V&H Big Radius it came with and replace with the original SEII pipes which they still had. BIG improvement in my opinion. Plenty loud but now a low rumble that sounds great IMHO. Just a personal thing.
Hi, Its SHAZ, I have a 2009 Nightster, vivid black which I put V & H 2 into 1's, awesome sound, looks great, good on fuel and runs really well
Ok so I dumped the V&H Big Radius and re-fitted the original SE2's to my 103 Fat Boy. Holy s**t, they are LOUD!!!! (Wooot??? You'll have to speak up). I'm now wearing ear plugs ALL the time so since I reckon the V&H look a lot better I wish I hadn't sold them. It's true the SE's are a way better sound - really deep - and performance is better but the SE2's are very intrusive and I don't think the V&H with their higher pitched "crack" are as hard to live with. SE Street Performance on my Iron with Heavy Breather and pro Tuner are another matter though - beautiful sound, loud enough for impact but not so deafening you need ear plugs. Love 'em!
Research from this forum seems to indicate that you can install pipes with out cleaner/tuner... if you install cleaner you will need the tuner.
Yes real cool when you melt and destroy the Ringlands on your Pistons.
