Just installed TTS and BIg sucker.

bike breathes well and runs 100% better even only wit the base map.

    I cant believe the difference.

my laptop has a dud battery in so will be a while before i can do some v-tuning will keep folks posted.

The ness big sucker was very easy to install very well designed and made and ive had great support from the company as well.

So far the bke has more power smoother Accel and sounds much better.

The idle has dropped and it just seems to purr now.

i have to say in cpmarison it was runningn  like a bag of shit before. She just wants to go now.

Ill have to be carefull of my  last 4 points :)

    Hey camy
mate basically the big sucker 2 is just a bigger filter.
There are a few different types depending on what kinda cover you want to use with it etc.
if you want to do AC and pipes you will need TTS sept or some such thing to remap the ecm.
there is no way round this.
other wise you risk damage to the engine.
M and M cycles i have found to be about the cheapest for parts there are a few other places but the cheapest i have been able to find have been like 1 dollar cheaper.
mark from m an m provides great service and has never charged me extra shipping if something has been on backorder.
arlen ness products are great too. they provide good after sales service and advice on their products.
    hope that helps
    Cheers

The big sucker II is basically wider.
The guys from Arlen Ness were really helpfull it comes with everything you need and is well engineered.
"The XL backing plate is the same configuration for all the different Big Sucker models and finishes. However, the standoffs (studs) that do the double duty of securing the backing plate to the throttle body, and secure the filter to the backing plate,  are two different lengths. The Stage I and Derby Sucker standoffs are 2”, the Stage II standoffs are 2 ?”. So, if you order a Stage II Big Sucker kit and want to use a Derby Sucker filter, you will also need three of the Stage I standoffs (part 18-500-4, $4.95US each)."

Get them thru Mand M and they will be cheaper.
The derby cover model gives you lots of options to change the look.
I got like a rain sock for mine as well so you can run it open.
If you run with out a cover its no big deal just dont let rain get in there.
I dont think there will be a huge difference in performance but i went with the II just in case. :)
she runs sweet now and its nice to hear it breath and whine now when you get on it.
mmmm might go for a night ride in this freezing canberra weather.
