Advice needed for service stuff up at Frasers

Just took the bike into Frasers for its 2000km first service...........  I ride home and notice that the a/c cover is sitting crooked on its backing plate. So I take it off and see that  they have tightened the a/c cover nut so tight that its bent/crimped one side of  the actual a/c element - which is a round tapered K&N style one I bought from the US - Fuel Moto Stage 1 a/c kit....

Now technically although the a/c itself is bent / crimped it probably still works and I'm not too hopeful on Frasers replacing it - especially seeing as though it's an aftermarket a/c....... and I dont want one of those SE ones either.

I am going in on WED to see the service manager..... How would you "tackle" this problem if it was your bike?

You need to go back to them, and give them the oppourtunity to rectify the situation.
    That's only fair.

    Of course, ............
If they lack the ability to service that type of cleaner, then they should have said so, and left it well alone.

    why am I not surprised!!!!

I took the Street Bob there at 4,000Km as I couldn't get the primary cover off... guy's first reaction was that I musn't have had 1,500km service so I politely asked if he was saying that they never opened the primary when it was there for the 1,500 or was it that they over tightened... btw two of the screws had to be replaced once they finally got the plate off

Good luck Berms - They didn't adjust my drive belt tension correctly or torque the axle bolts to the required specs when they fitted a new tyre to my Street Glide.
They also refused to sell me a belt tension tool because the spare parts guy claimed they weren't allowed to. When I complained a guy called Tony rang me and promised to get back to me and I am still waiting (it has been 8 months now).
Frasers poor customer service results in us guys giving other dealers business regardless how far away they are

Stevos had a big ad on the internet about a sale to get rid of old stock. I trolled through it for hours and found 2 items that I wanted. Inquired about them and they said they would get back to me. Of course they didnt. Contacted them again and said hey I would really like to buy these bits. Pleas let me know how to pay and how much for post. Hello hello are u still there??? No word. Fuckem.

How freakin hard is it to remove a primary cover and reinstall it correctly!!!

I can't believe the stories I'm hearing so far.

Hey Berms do as I did

ring consumer protection and know your rights from them , then ring Harley Australia and make them aware.

they hate that and when they try to stick it into you for knowing your rights and contacting HDA

just tell them this is why I did it.

and refuse to pay a penny for their fuckup and in competence
