I got a problem with the wear of the front tyre on my '07 Fatty. I got 11k'ish out of the 1st one, and roughly the same out of this 2nd one. BUT, they both wore on the right side, I know there is a camber on the road, but, is it possible for something to be out of whack on the front end? When you look down the front wheel over the handlebars, the tyre is an odd shape. I've checked out others bikes and i haven't seen the same wear as mine. I do remember reading on this forum awhile back someone had the same problem, i looked, but thought it's just as easy to ask again. I'm running Dunlops, Any advise is appreciated.
Yeah darkash, 36 in the front, it just seems to me to be too coincedental to wear the same way. Maybe i'm just looking to blame something, S'pose i'll just replace the darn thing and get back out and wear down another one. I'm up for a rear one as well. (tyre that is)
Hey farboy mick I was going to post somrthin about this a while ago. My mate Bandit has a Heritage (92 I think) his front tyre is worn on the right hand side like u would not believe. I will see if i can get a pic. someone said it was road camber but its way too bad. It has to be an alignment or balance prob maybe? The only good thing about this is I can keep up with him for once. And he's only got 1 arm!! Cheers Burnzi
Thank guys for the reply, i was told by "THAT" hog dealer(the "F"word one) it was the camber of the road, but i'm not the only Harley that rides the bucketts way.I reckon there's something wrong, if i get a chance over the weekend i'll take a snap shot of the tyre, i scrapped on almost every right hand bend last week, AND i ground the tip off the new bottom pipe of the Big Radius(not happy 'bout that). Thanks again fellas'
