sounds ok but need more info and a get together sometime,as long as old farts are welcome.lol and more beer.
Happy to go for a ride but not really into city riding, too many speed camera's, cops, cars and knobheads
We should just do a simple country run to a pub, open roads, no cops, no camera's and old fashion pub meal at a cheap rate
Say,
Leave Pakenham 10am to Erica pub via the back way
Pakenham - Bunyip - Longwarry - Old Sale Rd - Willowgrove - Erica
Good run, some long straights, lots of fast corners, some tight stuff and generally good roads
If people are interested I'll organise one in the next couple of weeks when the weather is a bit more accomadating for everyone
Cheers
Poddy
Hey, call me stoopid but I thought that was the idea of this forum
EXACTLY,,,, Any of the Forum Members are welcome to Post Up Rides and Invite other Riders along, The Guys over on the Eastern Side of Town and the Guys in the West are always arranging Rides durring the warmer months. We have the Interstate Pub Ride coming up later in the Year, As soon as the Sun comes out we will start spending the odd Thursday Night out at High Way 31 again as we did before Daylight Saving stoped.. I normaly arange 3 or 4 rides over Summer with Zoren from Peter Stevens. NO ROAD CAPTAINS, NO RULES AND NO WANKER BULLSHIT CLUB STUFF,,,,,,,,, If you what that stuff join the HOG'S or Easyriders
I made the mistake of getting involed with a Social Riding Club years ago,,,,,,,,,,,, NEVER AGAIN
Gotta agree with Crackers and Walka. I joined the forum during the warmer months and heaps of rides have been posted for Vic riders. All good fun, fast and slow riders and always a beer and a feed. I'm happy to have it no more organised than that. More rides will be organised this year so come along, meet other members and enjoy just going for a ride.
I work shifts so hard to commit to anything but always keen for a beer. 10th July won't work but will definately keep an eye out for future rides. Good idea Lone rider if not a little ironic!
All sounds good to me, would organise an overnighter over this side of the bay myself, maybe Wye river, when it warms up of course, thanks Lonerider for kickin this off.
The problem with clubs are all the rules & am the boss or founder of this club "crap" or we are the founding members crap & do as your told or else , ride by our or the rules of the club "Formation's" etc etc etc , ride how we tell you too , do this this way or do this that way . i ride with a very small group of mates & we ride our way "No Farking rule's" just plenty of common sense & respect for each other , we ride to live another day also "no cowboy's" . this idea is heading in the right direction , but aint it funny how all new thing's do ; & then get farked up as the club grows & the bullshit that comes with it "good luck" & wish this idea of a club all the best . 2 cents .
Lonerider,,, No one is being Negative to Meeting up and going for a Ride with anyone from the Forum , You asked if any one wanted to from a Club. You got your answer The very First Post on each States Page on this Forum it tells you clearly how to Post up a Ride , it's listed as ''' Ride Organiser Template''. It tells everyone and Anyone how to list a Ride or Event'. Post the Ride that your planing ,
You maybe surprised that We,, the Guys and Girls of Forum have been doing it this way since KC started the Site a little over 3 years ago.
Hi all, Stay tuned Burnzi's "Tortured and Twisted Tarmac Tour" has been mapped, roads and pubs, just got to run it and see how long it will take, fuel stop, food and beverage stops, distance, etc. Is the idea to be a Forum only run or open?? Cheers and call me gilligan (dont blame me if we get lost)
