Hi all. I need some help with my 06 Deluxe. I washed it yesterday and today i went for a ride and the indicators wouldn,t self cancel.

Then then left indicator wont turn on. If I turn the ignition off then on again the left indicator will flash but wont turn off until you press the right one.

My guess is water. I have pulled the left switch block off and given it a spray with wd40 but still no go.

I did a search here but could'nt find anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers, Brett

I'll watch this thread closely since I've noticed my right one doesn't self cancel very well at all lately. I can't see anything wrong with it, but obviously something is.

Ok it seems every time I turn on the ignition the left blinker starts flashing.

Does anyone know what could be causing this.

Not sure Mazz but it will be the water for sure,i shake my head when i see people washing there bikes with pressure clearners harley's don't like water in the switch gear never wash mine with pressure, above the tank use a rag and wipe the switch gear and tank have had to replace the starter switch gear on mine and it was water related over the years. It might dry up but you might be up for a couple of switches, get hold of a compressor and blow the switches out with air and give them a good spray it's worth a try Charlie

Blinkers are now fixed. Turns out it was the left blinker switch. Now replaced and bike back on the road.
