I would like some thoughts from you good folk on towing a trailer behind your bikes.   A couple of questions.  Do you need to adjust your suspension with the extra weight that the trailer places on the suspension.  I know it will affect the handling of the bike but is it drastically affected.  I am looking at purchacing one in the very near future for my trip to Tassie later this year.  2 Weeks and I reckon I will need the extra room with both myself and wife going over  I have been looking on Fleabay and Trading post.  Not much in this state but there a few in Queensland and NSW.  Any idea on how much to have one shipped over to Adelaide?

I had a read of a couple of posts from Lofty regarding towing a trailer and it was very intersting and informative.  Oh and if anyone knows of one for sale second hand with a reasonable price drop me a line.

gooday AJ.. i towed my home made trailer to perth and return from geelong vic.. after 15 minutes you dont even realise there behind you till you need to stop. it just a matter of readjusting your riding style to allow for the extra weight behind you. im heading to tassie early next year and plan on towing a new trailer behind me as two weeks is a while without gear. My old trailer is for sale if your interested. its solidly built., aluminium body, 10 alloy wheels with holden bearings and leaf springs.. i had no intention of selling until last week. i picked up a fibreglass one already color matched to my bike reasonably cheap. so i shall take this one to tassie. i dont need two trailers. send me a pm or email addy for further details if you wish.
