has anyone had to do this,is it a hard task ? my 08 nightster needs a new rear engine mount apparently i had the swingarm bearings replaced  once as they flogged out and now i have about 5mm of play when i grab the back wheel and move side to side, no its not the rear wheel bearings apparently its the rear enigine mount worn when i grab the back wheel and move so does the swingarm and belt any ideas?

Pete--- I've just had a good look at the brides bike ( 883 Low ) similar to yours and if you can move the swing arm from side to side it has to be the swing arm bearings not rear engine mount ?

took it to a hd dealer and the assured me it wasn't the swing arm bearings as they checked them and all is good they said it was the rear engine mount thats the cause the rear swingarm bearings were only replace about six months ago by them under warranty makes me think it was the rear mount always fucked and now its outta warranty im up for the cost got the parts they said i need but im not taking it back to them  found a guy that used to work there that does labour at $60 an hour vs $99 that they charge its done 36000km its an 08

got me bike fixed was a rear engine mount took it to rics motorcyle repairs at maroochydore cost me $180 for three hours labour fuckin sweet as used to be mech for harley at sunny coast highly recommended for any work on ya bike will be getting alot of my buisness
