I'm keen on a FB but have never used forward controls and the mids cost $1500. I know EVERYONE is keen on forwards but I'm used to mids and like the control plus the ability to stand up on them over the rough stuff. Are the forwards popular because they are practical or just because they look and feel cool? I'm about 5'10"
Since the rest of you are in love with forwards I guess I need to try them. Won't make any difference if I fit the mids at the start or later. That way I'll look as cool as you blokes.

I fitted mid mounts to mt FB as i found it good for long rides to change posture, $50 from the stealers part bin, not controls, just pegs, flip them up out of the way when not in use, Theres a pic on here if you do a search cheers

hey man you get the forwards stock better than other dynas they all change to forwards so this is the good bit there would be
many a street bob or super rider with left over converted bits in the shed mooch up the pegs only and presto forwards so cool eh! anh mid mount pegs they just bolt up man no mods or f---all just cut of the brake mount and you got two more foot rests so easy it makes me wonder the people at H.D. tell every one after all thier here to HELP
