Gday all, just fitted a new set of ikon shocks to my bike went for a short ride bike seems better in the rear suspension now. my question is how have u set yours up with adjustment and what have u found to be a good setting? i have set the top damper to 2 then the spring to the middle nocth. The shocks i have put on are 305mm long an have had the spring upgraded for my weight .i hit a few bumps and it seemed to bottom out a bit then all so seemed a bit bouncy on some bumps as well i think i may not have the spring adjusted up right any help would be good.

I rode on spring setting 2 and dampner setting 3.

Found this best for my style of riding.

Hey Dermie did you cut down the spacer supplied with the Ikon fork springs? If so how much? That thin piece of sh1t opps sorry spacer supplied by HD is applauling! What weight fork oil did you use?

I did not cut down the spacer at all, not sure if I was supposed to. It was about 6 mths from when I got the springs to when I put them in so I forgot what  the guy at Icon told me. I weigh only 69kgs so maybe I  could have gone and cut it down, but if you cut it down (oh on second thoughts you could put the cut off bit back in again) If you give the guy at Icon a call he will tell you what you need to do with the spacer, he is easy to talk to. Oil weight?? hang on I will go out & have a look in the garage to see what it is, its Motorex 10w/30. I inquired at the local stealer & thats what they told they used & sold me what I needed. The container has a handy pouring nozzle/hose thingy on it aswell. I reckon if you wanted different ride you could use lighter or heavier weight oil.
