G'day All,

                 New to the forum and also new Harley owner, I recently purchased a 2010 Fatboy and was wondering a couple of questions. Got the owners manual but who the f+ck reads them, is it best to use ordinarly RON91 unleaded or a higher octane unleaded? Also looking into getting clear lens LED tail lights, I see Harley to indicators with clear lens and LED, but couldnt see one for tail lights, i have seen some on the net are they all right? looking forward to your replys

I've used premium unleaded in me '08 Rocka since new.

mate, i've got an 09 fatty, i usually run 98 premium fuel in it, but do put 91 in also, and to be truthfull, i don't notice any difference in power or fuel consumption,
i'm running a led taillight, genuine harley one, just plugs in , no worries, got it off fleabay

I ended up getting smoked genuine HD LED indicator lights, with a smoked Kuryakyn tail light this is the result

Travelled the country last year and took whatever fuel was available. Tried to stick to the high octane stuff but sometimes you don't have a choice. It didn't matter what brand, what octane or what city or country town I got it from. It's all the same. Bike still ran the same ...no diff at all. A lot a people will tell you otherwise. Your choice.

I do get more k's out of premium in the car but gotta say not so noticeable on the bike,

stay away from shell.................i try and use caltex vortex 98 , my bike seems to like it. have used others always try and get 98 but have tried 95 , oh and stay away from the ethanol blended shit.................wouldnt run it in my lawn mower let alone my pride and joy !

95 or 98 only. I did fill with 91 not long after I got the Iron and it pinged its head off! Might have been a bad batch of fuel, but few the extra few cents, I'd rather not risk it....

Always use 98 in bike and car, LED looks good
