I'm thinking of a winter trip to get outa the cold down here & 'cos I have not really been to Qld much, worked on the Gold Coast for 6 mths & spent a week at Rainbow Bitch but thats about it, not much of Qld is it. Anyhow after seeing a program on Highway 66 from Rockhampton to Mt Isa I got to thinking, nice weather. So the trip would be somewhere along these lines (you'll have to zoom out to see it all http://maps.google.com.au/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=115398198813974208527.00048705193fddf23e76b&ll=-36.084899,146.910725&spn=0.048832,0.076818&z=14
I would be keen to hear comments about the route & what can be seen, what sort of roads there are along the route & any other interesting thoughts anyone may have. It would be a just a big long road trip, well two weeks would be a bit too long but somewher e up to that time scale should be ok.
Thanks I will find out??
Hey thx I am working on it, what sort of weather will it be (not asking for Guarantees) north of the border in sept.
Hey Dermie,
Jump on Google and search BOM (Aust Govt Metorologly site) then dig down into their well recorded statistics for any region in Aussie - it will tell you previous data for rain, temperature etc for that particular region for the month period you ask for.
Cheers.
PS: Come to Edenhope with us in November
Stop over at infracombe ( just south of longreach ) very interesting little town.
