Have a question in regard to a replacement engine . I have a 96 electraglide which through a genius mechanic has a badly damaged EVO 80cu engine. $7000 rebuild or replace motor. Looking at a 96 cu S&S EVO motor, but cannot get any of these inEFI. They are all carby engines. Now at first glance all components look interchangable. IE. carby manifold removed, EFI manifold bolts on. Crank shaft position sensor looks the same. Also have a power commander on the bike. Does anyone know of any issues regarding this change over. It appears to be straight forward, but you never know till you do the job and it goes to shit!!
