Man am I sick of hearing the boards scrap every corner I go around on my lo,Has anyone put forwards on and how do they travel ?

    Do they drag as well?

It may just be a case of buying new boards every 6 months LOL ,I was thinking of fitting a racing knee pad to the bottom same height as board but quieter sound get some funny looks when going around corners in town ,I think people think something is falling off my bike.

    later

    peace

Save ya boards by bending up some 12mm stainless rod into the outer underedge shape, bolt under board. Invisible, replaceable and much cheaper....

I think if you fit a set of 2" extended forwards and make sure the model you use has folding pegs it should be ok just trying to find a black set to fit.

Rode home to camp from Walhalla to Moondarra late one night on my Heritage, The guys behind me said they could have turned their lights off with all the sparks lighting up the night. I was thinkin of finding a metal to bolt on that would produce more spark. LOL

But yes it can be a nuisance, Riding down to Bright from Hotham I had to let 2 cars go past cos 2 up and a heap of gear on the bike couldnt get around the corners. Much easier now with forwards on my FXSTC.

i must admit i liked the floorboards on my fatty.........

was fun scraping them but with forward controls you have abit more angle.........

the thing for me is that floorboards are part of what makes a fatty........

    Hi There

I bought a set of Genuine Harley forward controls and had them fitted to my 09 Fatboy. I am 5' 11", the problem was standard length they were to close to me and when I put my Arlen Ness 3" over plates on they were to far away. They dont make Arlen Ness adapter plates and shorter for forwards. So off they came and back on went the boards. Id have to say that cornering is alot better with the forwards. I have 2" over forks with progressive springs, as mentioned in a previous post, they make a big difference and look good too. Id be surprised if these didnt fit a Fatty Low. When you confirm this to be the case, before you go out and waste your money on new ones check with me as mine were only on my bike for about 4 weeks. I also have the 3" over Arlen ness adapter plates and an as new set of Wille G front foot pegs all of which are about to go on Ebay and this forum for sale.

I've got an answer to stop the boards from scraping, go SLOWER around corners you hoons!

You should try turning with fishtails 5 inches from the ground!
