I'll be joining this ride also.  8th August is the anniversary of my sisters suicide. A day that is taken with mixed emotions.  A smart 23 year olds life cut way too short for reasons that will never be known.

Reported recently by AAP, mental health advocate and Australian of the Year Patrick McGorry is pushing for suicide deaths to be widely reported, just like the road toll to raise awareness of the extent of the problem.

"Suicide is the biggest killer of adults up to the age of 40."

"Let's bring it out in the open."

Prof McGorry said suicide was a public health scandal 40 per cent greater than the road toll. Last year, 1,509 Australians died on the nation's roads.

Will be going to North Nowra(eta 11am) then join the ride to Jambaroo.

 

People,

I plan on being at Maccas @ Heathcote (east side of Princes Hwy - opposite Heathcote Rd) around 7.45am.

Entrance to Maccas is from Wilson Parade which runs east of Princes Hwy on southern side of Maccas.

Depart Maccas @ 8.15am for the 50 minute ride to Albion Park Registration point.
