I have their gear for my Girl (leather jacket and Jeans), have found them good for the money. I have their wet weather overalls and they are water proof.

I am yet to find any glove that is water proof.

Is the Jacket you have, advertised as water proof? if so call them.

Yeah they are cheap but u get what u pay for. I have one of their "Biker Jackets" & for the money it is good $200 vs a $600 dollar HD jacket, as far as I can see they are not 3 imes as good. The gloves are not water proof but I would like to know what gloves are. The cheap boots I bought off them are cheap & are not water proof. On my trip to Perth a few months ago I had two days of rain & the cheap $80 or 90 rain suit (read black plastic jacket & pull on pants) kept me dry for the two full days of rain that I had.

I am looking for a new pair of good boots & a pair of over gloves for the rain, might even buy a pair of black rubber glove to go over my Bikers Gear ones. Up on the ski resorts the ski instructors wear washing up gloves to keeep their hands dry as the cannot get gloves that keep the water out - too much stitching & stuff around the fingers.

Lesson like u need one!! Don,t buy cheap & expect gold.

I have a pair of Rjays gloves with the thinsulate in them and they are pretty well water proof. I have to ride to work all the time in the rain and they work well keep my hands warm and dry.

I also have Rjays jacket and pants that work very well as long as you get the slightly more expensive ones. The jacket was about $60 i think and the pants about $70 from MCA. I also have the over boot covers for when it get real heavy.

All in all they do a great job of keeping me dry. It does come down to "ya get what ya pay for" i used to get the $19 pants and $20 jacket and they where crap.

    mate

before you slander me, maybe come down to the island and have a chat about your gear, if you have any problems... dont assume I ride 3 times a year??? I am member of VVMC gipps chapter and ride in rain hail or shine and clock up many miles each week, we have been in business for 8 years and I ride, not a 3 time a year sunnyboy.  Maybe shop around and check out where 90% of motorcycle apparel originates from and you will see pakistan is the leader in leather products.

Maybe get yourself some wet weather gear with silicone sealed seams to put over when is heavy raining as you state, keep them rolled up on your bars.

Bikers gear is good value for money and the owner is a genuine long distance Harley rider and a good guy. Re gloves; I've spent 100s of $ buying gloves starting with cheapskate $60 ones and working up to my latest investment of $200 for a pair so far untested. Cheers ,  pete.

I bought an orange and black Harley style jacket from them in March, mainly because of price, but am wrapped with it. $800 for the genuine HD product was a bit much when I usually wear a vest anyway.

Their store is great and I love browsing through there twice a year when I'm down for the bikes.

    Cheers

When i was in the uk a few months ago bought some Aldi gear , it was going cheap so i bought the dri rider type jacket , the dri rider type pants , Done the great ocean road in them and , with rossi waterproof boots , started off well , it was torrential and i mean torrential rain kept dri for a while , then when the wind came a certain way and blew the rain under the lapel it leaked , i got soaked , my boots eventually got soaked and leaked my pants never let a drop in except what run down the inside of the jacket , had three gloves 1 rj's , 1 dri rider , 1 fingerless all got soaked .

Few weeks later rode to queensland from adelaide , started pissing on me at tailem bend ,Thunderstorms all across the Hay plains , Fucking scary had to slow right down, big trucks over taking me in next to no visability , rain did'nt stop till i got , to sunny queensland except at night when i was not riding , (murphys law) , on the way back soon has i got to coolangatta it started pissing down , and stayed that way till i got to adelaide , stopped raining about 5 minuites after i got home , On that journey , i wore the rossi boots , fine same has before until it gets torrental, or you've been riding for a couple hours , pants , cheap aldi dri rider type , great no leaks except from rain seaping inside the jacket , this time my rj's jacket , kept everthing out until it was torrential , then i put the waterproof over , fine except it came in at the neck, off the helmit, gloves brought another pair that i had bought in the uk , so 1 dri rider , 1 rj's and 1 aldi pair , all fucking useless and wet after a couple hours ..

Moral of the story , your going round the block you can stay dry , if your going on a long journey and gonna ride in the wet for more than a couple of hours , your gonna get wet , but heh , thats part of the riding experience , go on a journey get fucking soaked hit the hotel, motel , hot shower , plenty of refreshments, all part of a good day .

In fact only yesterday went for my friday afternoon ride , missis said where you going , south to victor across , to straph , back to Morphett vale for those who know it ,

Its raining she said , i know i said , your in jeans and leather jacket she said , its all right iv'e got a bandana to stop the bee stings, when i got home fucking soaked 3 hours later , big smile on my face looking like the proverbial drowned rat , , she said , your fucking mental , no i'm not cos i'm not cleaning the bike you are i said ,

I love it in the rain , mind you if i did'nt have the missis, the best bike detailer in adelaide to wash and polish the thing , for the best spent 50 dollars ever , mine would never see the rain. and she still has'nt cottoned on that after she details it , which will be on a sunday after we will always go watch a band , and when we walk in i'll say , you got fifty bucks so its your rnd , make mine a double,

Better hope she don't read this , ha ha

Get a pair of over gloves from Andy Strapitzs, a genuine Driazabone big enough to go over your leathers, a pair of RJs water proof trousers for over your jeans and a pair of water proof Rossi boots and you will never be wet.  I wear this combo all the time in light to HEAVY rain and have never been wet!!!  Over gloves also geep your hands from freezing on those frosty mornings as well.

    Just my $0.02 worth.

If you're looking for Aussie made wet weather gear there's a mob here in Brisbane called 'The Australian Coat Company'; their gear is 'Driza Bone' style.

First saw it in the old 'Ned Kelly's' at Canungra  - the biker friendly Retailer well known to many on the forum (where's he gorn?).

Anyhoos, I have the jacket & over pants & the U beaut sheepskin vest - all good quality stuff at a fair price and hand made in their small factory just off Moss St in Springwood.

That's where I went to order & collect it so I saw the stuff being made here in OZ!

If you're interested scroll through for the bike stuff on their site at www.theaussiecoat.com.au

My bike is American but I try reeal hard to support OZ industry in everything else...

    ausbiker - Agree to you!!!

Gear is shit - total shit.

I had accident (25-30mph) wearing textile trousers (waterproof ones) and gloves from ABG. I've got hole in gloves (leather!!!) and damaged my skin a bit (nothing awful but hey cam'n).
About trousers - knee protect slipped down and hasn't protected my knee... nothing broken, but I've got quite nice burn from asphalt.
Hips protectors - I'm not sure if they actually helped, but both sides of my body a bit burned and skin a bit gone.

All stitches which were in contact with asphalt gone off. So I've got 4 burns on both of my legs.

Boots from Nitro done their job - can't complain but have to throw them away.
Jacket from Alpine - done it's job and probably I could even repair it. Just cuff link and zip and a bit scratched shoulder which was main point of hit. I doubt if any leather or textile jacket from ABG would protect me as good as this one.
Also Caberg helmet done it's job well.

btw my wife was wearing gloves from ABG as well - they got 2 holes on fist where they have double leather and protection... not sure if this has to be like that.

Guys - think twice and maybe throw away everything you have from these guys and buy something proper from well known manufacture who supplies gears to motoGP. For myself I'll go for known rather than cheap - to bad I have to learn it in such way.

I've got a pair of those exact OVER-PANTS--and when I need them for cold weather or rain protection I put them on OVER a pair of BGA KEVLAR JEANS...
I reckon Blackey has gone fairly easy on ya-- this time...
