One of the better days in Sydney today so I went for a ride.
I noticed today probs halfway through my cruise my throttle started to feel sticky and at the lights when I'd turn the throtte would get stuck and continue to rev with my hands off the handle.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Hello Sir. Wow thats formal isnt it.

I had this prob when I swapped bars over from the original ones but the throttle was gettin stuck only when twisted almost wide open.

I undid the switch block and gave it a clean inside the throttle tube and on the bar itself, found a rough end on the bar that may have bn the problem, sticky is gone

Hey good thought Steamer didnt even give the cruise control a thought If the throttle tube was oval at all that would be a sure bet

Sir, check your manual, page38, with picture on page 40. Explains it all. I would check this cruise control (they call it a throttle friction adjustment screw) first of all. Cheers, TC

If you've played around with grips, bars or bar end mirrors (in my case all three) it is possible that the throttle is binding on the controls and causing it to get stuck.

I've never had the nerve to use that throttle gadget - a bit clumsy when you need to get it off in a hurry plus I'd like to see someone who was riding an Iron so far that they needed cruise control before their bum gave out.

The problem is fixed now...it was the throttle friction control. Must hve accidently hit it or something whilei was riding.
Thanks again for the help guys.
