Does anyone really think the cops, internet, fraud or whoever are gonna give 2 shits about someone scammin a biker? We are already scum, if we get scammed, we will be broke scum and 1 less outlaw biker on the road. Cos we are all outlaw aren't we.

These pieces of shit need to be tracked down via their own weapon, their computer, phone, etc, then we could all sit down and explain the error of their ways to them so that they wouldn't need to pursue this avenue. Anyone know someone that has the knowledge?

any dealer anywhere in the country would pay more than that for it as long as it was legit so there would be no need for such a desperate person to waste money on advertising

yeah i posted one up on this, stirred they guy up for ages, they used to only do dirt bikes, then jet skis, and hey now harley good for them!
I gave The Trading Post a good blast too as these media fuckers still get THEIR cash up front via a credit card or woteva.

Feel sorry for any poor sucker that falls for it, and they do.

Maybe we have the answer right here. If you see an advert alert everyone and we bombard them with enquiries. Both mobile and internet. Put some much pressure on their end so that they give it away?

A different way to look at this

The reason scams like this work is there are a lot of dumb people out there.

Sorry if this offends people (and I'm sure it will) but come on if everyone out there had even half a clue like we all do here then this shit would die in the arse because it would not be profitable.

People need to take responsibility for what they do and don't blame others for their ignorance. It's all very well looking for a good deal but bugger me Stevie Wonder could see these adds are a scam.

Just my thoughts on it and yeah I'm a bit cynical because I'm sick of dealing with stupid people all day.

Ok had my say now i'm ready for the bashing

I remember buying a set of encyclopadia's when I was 20 (with first wife, child on the way, great for future schooling) they wern't worth a pinch of goats..... oops sorry Robo ahh chook shit. But I was young and gullible.

Now I am old and gullible. Cheers Burnzi

Perhaps they are stolen?? but nobody would be stupid enough to steal a bike like a HD then advertise it publicly. Then having said that to sell that Fat Boy for that price you would not have to advertise publicly would you.

BTW sounds like one of the forum gentlemen got scammed by a "builder" there awhile ago, wot's the difference. The place is full of weird people, I know I met one on the weekend.

you guys were making an asumption that he had a bike... easy to post up something fictitious ... did anyone run a VIN or plate check?

    edit:

the information he used can easily be obtained using plate number on Vic Road register....

easy to used info on the net to 'offer' someone elses bike.

You bunch of sceptics! I called the seller, Richard and indeed his father's brother Phark passed away only a few months ago (my condolences to Mrs Head). I paid my $10k and am now the proud owner and rider of this immaculate fatboy. Gee, I'm so happy I didn't listen to you guys!! :)
