    RIP.....

only comment he made that I was really pissed at was blaming his last wife for making his life stressfull and therefore contributing to his contracting cancer. Apparently he divorced her shortly after...

After catching the train to go 100ks to see Easyrider in 69, i got back home and started customizing my Malvern Star Dragstar (remember them little apehangered banana seated bikes?) bike to look like an "easyrider chopper". I got some 1 inch chrome tube (shower curtain tubing)and made 2 upswept exhaust pipes then bolted them on the axle nuts, already had apehangers on the bike. Stole my mum's front forks off her 28 inch bike and put em on mine. (She used to ride her bike to work, she was pissed off big time!) It was the coolest bike in town. The bike frame cracked near in half eventually. The angle of the dangle was very wrong!!! I still have my Easyrider posters, bit dog eared, form that trip to Melb on the train with a coupla mates. If you can, get the dvd, there is good dialogue from fonda about how they made the movie, why, what, when, everything. Especially the scene in the desert sitting round the fire sharing a joint. Fonda said they were genuinely stoned in the scene where nothing was said for a few minutes, just looked at each other wasted! I actually tried to find that famous bridge in the posters when I was over there in 03. Too many of em. (plus I broke down)............ Ride In Peace Dennis, catch up with ya one day.

First two movies I ever saw were Easyrider and 2001 in 1969. It was a double feature and I was 13 at the time,
Easyrider came on first and blew me away, then 2001 and I felt like I had somehow gotten a contact high.
It was soooooo weird. RIP Dennis.

    Hey Don

After seeing those two movies at the same time I guess one day you had to buy a Harley or a space ship
