Hi all just some info for those of you with a 2010 WG, coming from a Motard as my last bike I was shocked (no pun intended) at the poor quaility of the shocks on the wide glide.

I tried all settings and just could get it right not sure if its me or the bike or what but in the end I got some 412 - 4044 B heavy duty shocks (b standing for black)

all I can say is night and day i can now feel the rear moving up and down and the shocks working as they should to soak up the bumps, I know these are not top of the line but I am so happy now after those crap stock ones.

I have them on #2 setting now and will go for a long ride this afternoon, I will also take some pics and edit post when I get home.

So if your thinking of doing it then do it you will not be sorry.

Long shot of shocks (green lawn finally had some rain up here)

    Close up of shock

    Me hello all :-)

the bike dont mind the rust on mid controls that so i can shift and brake same side (above knee amputee left side) going to replace this as i had to mod it for stock pipes, going to make a custom one now i have my pipes, so location is correct for heal.

me and the dog 8 months old shaping up good (the dog that is)

Thanks Shadow, bike looks good, shocks look good. I'll probably go the same for my Streetbob when I have a moment of weakness and spend some more money. Hat off to you for sticking with it with your gammy leg.

Heh SHadow, how did the shocks go? I'm thinking about getting a set for my '04 FXD. Did you buy yours in OZ or get them from the US?

Shocks are fine work as they are suppose to (which in my opinion the HD ones don't) I got mine from Ebay and I got the heavy duty 412's all of 5 mins to swap out and easy to adjust when required (come with a wrench to do it) I got the black ones as you can see.

:-) I only have them on #2 setting so I believe i will be fine touring or 2 up.

I did a 400 km run on Monday and had no issues at all.
