I put a pair of Rush slip-ons on my Nightster as soon as I got it home from picking it up. I was pretty disappointed riding it home, felt sluggish and unresponsive and missed any real note. Slipped the stock ones off and put the Rush on and bang - huge difference in response and awsome note. No other work required but can do the breathing etc. later if I wish. The performance is a big difference, really responsive and sharp compared to the stock pipes.
Not sure if that helps at all?
Hi when i first picked mine up i had se mufflers on it wasnt real impressed with them so i put a set of v&h shortshot staggered i can tell you if its loud you want there the pipes how ever i have chrome sprocket and lower belt guard the heat from the pipes discolours them they polish up ok but its becoming a pain so i am interested to hear other options ive never heard of rush before can you give me more info thanks.
I have a set of Outer Cycle slash cut mufflers off my 08 1200c. These are really loud, and draw a lot of attention. But the increase in performance is awesome compared to the stockies.
I have posted them on the "Parts and accessories for sale" forum
dav66h, where did you purchase the Rush pipes? how much.

Hi why are you selling your mufflers sprocket
Jim, got them from GC Harley when I bought the bike, $482- for the pair new.
