You could google image for tanklift or check out ebay. You can't do it (easily) if you have a Sportster Custom btw, since the speedo gets it the way.

Wow, I've never seen anyone do a tank lift on a Nightster before - though I don't get out much :P It doesn't look right to me (the rear of the tank looks to high)...but then I like the look of the standard Nightster.

go to bunnings get some flat bar cut to desiered lenght in this case 1 1/2 " rise 2" nis too much i reckon get some short bolts to go through tab on both sides of tank and coulpe of washers takes bout one hour to install and ya dont even have to take ya tank off you wont need longer fuel hose on the sporty only bigger bikes cost for trhis mod about fifteen buks in parts and twenty bucks in beers whilst doin it while ya at get that ugly plastic guard off from under the tank tuck ya wirring up under the tank and relocate ya coil to the side of engine looks tens times better imo

its pretty easy to tuck the wires just lift ya yank up put a screwdriver in the hole in front and another under to give you lift no need to undo back bolt near seat then snip all the cable ties wrap the wires up with electrical tape as tight and neat as you can get some bigger zip ties and secure them up to the frame be careful not to pinch wires just wiggle and jiggle till the tank sits back neatly plenty of room if you do a lift with ya tankas the tuck under the tunnel of the tank the bracket is from a 1200c horn bracket bolts straight to head you will need the two hex screws as well and just get some flat bar drill same size as the holes in the bracket already and bend in a vice to shape get the lug of the back of ya coil to measure how much length you need paint it with some black spray pressure pak and put in the oven on low for 1/2 hour to bake bolt it up and wallah be sure you get some strong steel for the bent bit of bracket as ive had two before snap due to vibration this one has lasted well over 6mnths other two lasted two weeks ill take some pics up close on the weekend of bracket also i left my ignition bracket where it is just cut of the bit that held the coil originally
