I've been thinking if it's ok 2up while running the engine in for the recommended first 1600klm's? The stealer says no don't do it and guys at work are telling me yes and no!!! Picking the bike up in 2 week's and wanting to take the missus for a ride or is she going to have to wait till I've done 1600klm's and first service?

Yes, Loading up the Engine is the Best way to run it in, When I run any Engine in I always head for the Hills so I can make the Engine Labour up and Work Best way to Bed in Rings

Loading up the engine is the best way , just dont thrash it to hard . Dont lug it & go easy on it , give it some & take the missus with you . Go 95 or even 98 fuels , just dont use Ethanol blended fuels , have fun .

Shit Alfie, Get over it, it's not like it's a new bike anymore, we've all lived this bike for months , You've got all the answers. You're not a newbe anymore. Stand on your own two feet boy . OK shoulders back ,eyes forward ,arms limp , and right wrist twist. Off you go ,NEXT!

Man lot of questions there alf just get on it and ride the shit out of it is best way , you just have to listen to the new woman in your life she will tell you how she likes to be treated.

plus you still have to post about clothes fuel food maps tyres boots helmets ,so take a spell and go for a ride it will all seem a lot less inportant then

    later

    peace

Very informative guys, more input welcome.

If you got any more questions Alfie, ask away, as its good input, and good for others buying new bikes too.

Hope to catch up on a NSW ride soon mate.
